SHERMAN OAKS—On Friday, June 7, there was a multi-vehicle crash on the 101 freeway causing injuries to multiple people. 

The accident transpired near Woodman Avenue on the northbound side of the 101 freeway around 8:15 p.m., ABC 7 News first reported. At least four cars were involved in the incident and a total of six people were injured. 

Three people were taken to nearby hospitals to receive treatment. A 27 year-old resident of Sherman Oaks sustained serious damage to their leg during the incident.

The accident caused bumper to bumper traffic from North Hollywood to Sherman Oaks, and closed three lanes of the freeway. Officials are investigating the exact cause of the crash.
