BEVERLY HILLS—Ronnie Brewer, 29, forward member of the NBA Chicago Bulls pled no contest to a misdemeanor charge on Tuesday, August 26 from his arrest for driving under the influence in Beverly Hills.

He was detained during a traffic stop on February 19 near Wilshire Boulevard and  Rodeo Drive. Brewer’s no contest plea is equivalent to pleading guilty under California law.

According to a press release from the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, his blood alcohol content was .08 percent or higher and his blood alcohol level was .15 percent on the night of his arrest, which is two times the legal limit.

Brewer was sentenced to three years of summary probation and must to go to three months of alcohol abuse classes and has to attend 10 Alcoholics Anonymous meetings. Brewer will also have to pay $390 in fines.
