MALIBU—The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office declined to file charges against a man who allegedly robbed a Wells Fargo Bank in Malibu on August 28.

The suspect has been identified as Benjamin Greene, 37. He was arrested by deputies from the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department Lost Hills/Malibu Station.

Spectators congregated around The Malibu Village shopping center as Greene was taken into custody. There were no reports of any weapons used during the arrest.

Paul Eakins, Public Information of the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office noted in an email to Canyon News that a lack of sufficient evidence was the reason that no charges were filed against Greene in the case.
