HOLLYWOOD—Last week’s “True Blood” season two encore kicked off with “Nothing But The Blood.” The episode was pulse-pounding drama from the very first frame. Sookie and Tara were screaming as a heartless dead woman was found in the backseat of Deputy Andy’s car. Andy used his influence to blame Tara and Deputy Kenya even called Tara’s mother to come in and confront her daughter about the dead woman. Sookie soon found solace in the arms of her lover vampire Bill Compton who was almost at wits end with Jessica, whom he now is responsible for. Handsome dimwit Jason Stackhouse was starting to fall under the spell of The Fellowship of the Sun Church and after getting a check from his sister, he soon left Bon Temps and headed to Texas where fans know the outcome. It’s amazing how enjoyable seeing the season again can be. Bringing much of the almost forgotten scenes to our minds with the intensity obviously only improving in the next episode.

Lafayette was down in the dungeon with a one-time nemesis, all being held by the vampire clan for transgressions such as murder, selling V and other things the vampires feel are directly harmful to their cause and their race. With the “New Moon” DVD just released on Friday night, it was a very intriguing coincidence. Whether the talented genius Alan Ball and HBO planned it this way or not, it really made for a fun-filled and exciting premiere night on Sunday of the series that millions of fans love. Dianna Gruzul states, “Love ”˜True Blood,’ it’s so hot!”

Maryann, the evil maenad is beginning her reign. On Sunday, she threatened Sam and confronted him about taking something that did not belong to him. The pair shared an illicit affair many years earlier, with Sam needing some help to survive. Sam Trammell as Sam Merlotte is an incredible actor, who adds a depth of genuine feelings to many of the characters around him.

Maryann’s reign of terror is just beginning. Be sure to check out Sunday night’s episode, which will be frightening for Lafayette.
