SANTA MONICA—The Ocean Park Branch Library located at 2601 Main Street will be closed temporarily from Monday, February 18 thru Monday, March 11 for structural improvements. According to the city of Santa Monica website, the improvements to the 100-year-old Branch are focused on upgrades to plumbing. The lawn in front of the establishment will be inaccessible during the closure.

Visitors are asked to use the Main Library and the Fairview, Montana and Pico Branch Libraries:

-Main Library, 601 Santa Monica Boulevard, (310) 458-8600. Main Library hours are Monday through Thursday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; and Sunday 1 to 5 p.m.

-Fairview Branch Library, 2101 Ocean Park Boulevard, (310) 458-8681.

-Montana Branch Library, 1704 Montana Avenue, (310) 458-8682.

-Pico Branch Library, 2201 Pico Boulevard, (310) 458-8684.

Branch Library Hours are Monday through Thursday, 12 p.m. to 9 p.m.; Friday, 12 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.; and Saturday 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Branches are closed on Sundays.

Library materials can be returned at any Santa Monica Public Library location or at the Ocean Park Branch book return, located on Norman Place. Items on hold at the Ocean Park Branch can be available for pick up at the Main Library.

The Ocean Park Book Group meeting on March 2 at 11:00 a.m. and the Westside Writers’ Mingle on March 6 at 7:00 p.m. will be relocated to the Fairview Branch.
