HOLLYWOOD—Lady Gaga’s infamous words say it all: “I’m your biggest fan; I’ll follow you until you love me.”

It all began with the “Godfather of Paparazzi” Ron Galella. The now 79-year-old, who was dubbed a pioneer paparazzo, is regarded the most controversial celebrity photographer in the world. He focused on the famous and when they least suspected it he would capture iconic shots of Elizabeth Taylor, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Warren Beatty, Marlon Brando, Sean Penn and Madonna to name a few. “The Godfather” was assaulted, verbally abused, sued and even had his jaw broken once by Marlon Brando. The perils and occupational hazards of being a photojournalist. That was then and now we have the paparazzi of today that think that just because they have a camera that they are paparazzi. How many times have you seen the same picture pop-up of a celebrity taken at a red carpet event? They basically all look the same, somehow Ron Galella would take a different pose, and that’s what made him iconic and special. Unfortunately, they are missing the pizazz of Ron that captured the stars by surprise and showed the world the real personalities behind the stars’ character.

While under extreme pressure from the paparazzi, Miley Cyrus continues to be a sweetheart. The latest YouTube video taken on October 16, shows Cyrus confronting the paparazzi. She is extremely composed as she is seen explaining that he was driving quite dangerously while pursuing her. The paparazzo even manages to capture her license plate “CREVIER.” Miley was 5 years old when Princess Diana died on that fateful night in August of 1997. Nonetheless, she probably heard or read about the power of the paparazzi who will do whatever it takes to chase down celebrities.

So who are the most sought after celebrities? We have the top 10 of 2010: Miley Cyrus, Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears, Kim Kardashian (or any Kardashian clan), Angelina Jolie, Paris Hilton, Brad Pitt, Justin Beiber, Heidi Montag and Beyonc è. This is life as we know it.

Speaking of “Life As We Know It,” the latest from Katherine Heigl is cute and you’ll laugh a few times in the 115-minute flick, directed by Greg Berlanti. Just like some of her other flicks, she plays a stunning, successful woman who has a hard time finding “the one.” She gets hooked up with this guy, which didn’t even work out long enough for them to go out on a date. The plot is a little offbeat since it has Heigl and Josh Duhamel as the two best friends of a couple who shortly after having a beautiful baby girl, die in a sudden car crash. Then according to the will, the joint legal guardians of the child are Heigl and Duhamel. Alright, granted the father of the baby is an attorney, but how many young couples draw up a will? We then have the “odd couple” trying to make this work for the sake of the child. They seem both miserable, but in a turn of events they seem to fall for each other and Duhamel later decides to take that promotion in Phoenix. You’ll hear a few laughs when you see two adults gasping, when they are forced to change the baby’s dirty diaper. A cute-feel-good movie to watch when you have absolutely nothing to do.

Rose’s Scoop: Julianna Margulies “The Good Wife” was spotted in Portland, Ore. with her hubby attending a wedding, the weekend of October 11.
