SANTA MONICA—The Santa Monica Fire Department was dispatched to the 1200 block of Pacific Coast Highway at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday, February 12, to rescue an adult male who had fallen halfway down the bluff.

The Santa Monica Fire Department’s Urban Search and Rescue Team and Two Engine Truck Company used a 100-foot aerial ladder to reach the man. After firefighters rescued the man, he was transported to a local hospital, and seen in the emergency room, and after being examined, he had only suffered minor injuries.

The Santa Monica Police Department assisted with traffic by shutting down the Northbound section Pacific Coast Highway, for 20 minutes while the rescue was in progress.
