WOODLAND HILLS—A burglary incident occurred at a Woodland Hills pharmacybut a smoke device kept thieves from stealing any items, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The crime occurred on Friday, November 19, at the Basso Pharmacy in the 5900 block of Fallbrook Avenue. When the thieves broke a window, they walked right into smoke, investigators state. The smoke device was triggered by the burglar alarm.

The pharmacy declined to comment on the burglary.
