BEVERLY HILLS—Beverly Hills Police officers and detectives arrested a man charged with three counts of sexual assault in the state of New York.
On October 29, Beverly Hills Police officers and detectives arrested a 30-year-old man named Menachem Tewel on the 9900 block of S. Santa Monica Boulevard at approximately 1:30 p.m. Tewel was taken into custody without incident by police at the request of the New York Police Department (NYPD).
The NYPD issued a warrant for the arrest of Tewel, who is wanted in New York for three counts of “Criminal Sexual Act in the First Degree,” “Criminal Sexual Act in the Third Degree” and “Sexual Abuse in the First Degree.” The alleged suspect is currently awaiting extradition to New York and faces no charges here in California.
