BEVERLY HILLS—Beverly Hills Police officers and detectives arrested a man charged with three counts of sexual assault in the state of New York.

On October 29, Beverly Hills Police officers and detectives arrested a 30-year-old man named Menachem Tewel on the 9900 block of S. Santa Monica Boulevard at approximately 1:30 p.m. Tewel was taken into custody without incident by police at the request of the New York Police Department (NYPD).

The NYPD issued a warrant for the arrest of Tewel, who is wanted in New York for three counts of “Criminal Sexual Act in the First Degree,” “Criminal Sexual Act in the Third Degree” and “Sexual Abuse in the First Degree.” The alleged suspect is currently awaiting extradition to New York and faces no charges here in California.
