BEVERLY HILLSPolice attempted to stop two suspects in a stolen vehicle during a short chase that resulted in a collision on December 17 after 3 p.m.

The chase ended at the intersection of Charleville Boulevard and Roxbury Drive. The suspects struck a vehicle which hit another vehicle at the intersection. A total of three vehicles were involved in the collision.

The suspects were taken into custody and were treated by the Beverly Hills Fire Department for unknown injuries they sustained from the crash.

The intersection of Charleville Boulevard and Roxbury Drive was closed for several hours as police completed their investigation.

The driver of the stolen vehicle was identified as Andres Santiago, 22, of Santa Maria, and his passenger Cecil Lee Williams, 21.

Sergeant Kurt Haefs from the Beverly Hills Police Department told Canyon News the suspects were charged with Evading Officers, Grand Theft Auto, Grand Theft, and Forgery.

Sergeant Kurt Haefs also informed Canyon News that the stolen vehicle was a 4 door 2011 Hyundai Sonata.

“The pursuit began in the 9700 block of Wilshire Blvd and terminated at the intersection of Charleville Blvd and Roxbury Drive. The pursuit was approximately 23 seconds in length overall. At the scene both suspects complained of pain as a result of the collision and were transported to a local hospital. As for the other parties involved in the crash, no injuries were reported on scene,” Sergeant Haefs stated.
