BEVERLY HILLS—Officers from the Beverly Hills Police Department nabbed three suspects who attempted to burglarize the Gucci store on Rodeo Drive. The incident occurred on December 1 at around 4:15 a.m. Officers were working in the business triangle for burglary suppression surveillance.

One of the surveillance officers witnessed a white sedan stop in front of the Gucci store on 347 North Rodeo Dr. He saw the suspect exit the car, remove a sledgehammer from the trunk and attempt to smash out the front door.

Patrol units were called to the scene, where the suspects’ vehicle fled southbound on Rodeo Drive. Authorities stopped the vehicle on Rodeo Drive at Wilshire Boulevard. Police arrested the following individuals for burglary: Rachel Green, 37, of Los Angeles, Rozzie Lee, 23, of Los Angeles and Lamont Washington, 45, of Los Angeles.

Sgt. Max Subin of the BHPD informed Canyon News that the only damage done to the store was the door. “The suspects smashed it approximately five times,” said Subin. He noted that the actual cost of damage to the door is unknown at the moment, and that the suspects did not enter the store.
