HOLLYWOOD HILLS—A 16th floor balcony fire transpired on Tuesday, September 24 at the Columbia Square Living Apartments in Hollywood.
At 5:14 p.m., personnel from the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a rubbish fire located at 1550 N. El Centro Avenue where the 20-story apartment building was burning. Fire sprinklers in the residence building were activated by the smoke prior to LAFD arrival.
There were no reports of any injuries and no collateral damage as a result of the blaze. The cause of the fire, resident displacement, in addition to any financial loss have yet to be determined.
The Columbia Square Living Apartments are located in the heart of Hollywood, near local boutiques, many restaurants, bars, fitness centers, and much more.
