HOLLYWOOD—It was the moment we had been waiting for since the surprise end of season three. Emily (Emily VanCamp) learned the startling truth that her father David Clarke (James Tupper) was very much alive. But let’s rewind a bit concerning this reunion. In “Meteor” Emily and Nolan (Gabriel Mann) were on high alert to catch the culprit who attempted to murder our heroine in her sleep. While Nolan was attempting to reason with Emily to get the authorities involved, she wanted nothing to do with them, but what Nolan wants he apparently gets.

Victoria (Madeleine Stowe) arrived back to the cabin to find David questioning her whereabouts. The Queen Bee was a bit rattled about the possibility of his identity being revealed to the masses.  The writers are doing an excellent job of making the audience guess as to who is playing who? With David we never know, but that scene where he viciously placed bruises on his body, was apart of his strategy.

In other news Margaux (Karine Vanasse) and Daniel (Joshua Bowman) continued to dance around their relationship. Are they a couple or not? It seems apparent that they are both playing one another. Charlotte (Christa B. Allen) continued to do battle with her mother for meddling into her life. She was not pleased that she was attempting to continue vengeance against her sister. Looks like a new love triangle could be brewing between Jack (Nick Wechsler), Ben and Emily, as Ben made it clear with his actions that Emily has a soft spot in his heart. David made it clear that he wanted to get arrested as he stumbled into a store and stole an item.

Victoria’s attempt to bond with Daniel by offering him some money only made him even angrier, as he rejected her pleas.  This prompted Louise (that crazed mental patient Vicky left behind) to send her over a drink. Unfortunately, Victoria rejected it.  This woman’s marbles might be looser than we think. Jack was blown away when he recognized David Clarke in the lineup, and did his best to get in touch with Emily, but it was too late. The moment that Emily came face-to-face with her father was everything the audience had been hoping for. She could barely breathe as she attempted to reason what happened.

Nolan came to his friend’s aid as she fled the police station and was also thrown by the news, when she learned the FBI was involved she was desperate to get into contact with her father, but was dismissed by authorities. Victoria put on her best acting face when the chief of police broke the news that her former flame wasn’t so dead after all. Ok, give the Oscar to this woman because she sure knows how to give a performance of a lifetime.

Daniel was in the mood to celebrate with Margaux, but was a bit surprised to find Louise at his penthouse suite. This woman is keeping tabs on Daniel, but for reasons he has no idea about. David fabricated a delicious story how he was framed by Conrad Grayson, and that he had faked his death in prison. He was being held captive against his will and being tortured for years. The funny thing is the authorities bought every minute of it. Its apparent David has been carefully thinking what he would say and do when this epic moment arrived. I must say like father like daughter. Emily and David are more similar than many would like to think.

Before taking the stage at his press conference, David made it quite clear to Victoria that he would not allow her to use him as his puppet. I think it’s apparent he has been playing her the entire time. So just what does David have in store for the Queen Bee?

At the press conference, Emily and Nolan were stunned to see Charlotte and Victoria stand side-by-side next to David.  It was apparent that Victoria was gloating to her nemesis while on stage.  The look on Emily and Nolan’s face to could have sliced Victoria in half. With the truth about David in the public, its now a question of what he has planned for those that betrayed him and what will Victoria and Emily cook up next to settle their score. Until next Sunday “Revenge” lovers!
