SANTA MONICA—There will be a full street closure at 14th Street and Colorado Avenue from July 22 to August 5. The closure of the street will be due to the installation of the Rail Crossing for the Expo Line project. The closure times will start at 1:00 a.m. on July 22 and end at 6:00 a.m. on August 5.

Authorities will use electronic board, signage and flaggers to direct vehicles and pedestrians around the construction zone. The heavy work will be conducted only between the hours of 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. Noise will be monitored to make sure it is within the compliance limit.

Once the project completes, people will have the option to travel from Santa Monica to Los Angeles within 46 minutes. For any more information, please contact the City of
Santa Monica Public Works Department at (310) 458-8721.
