STUDIO CITY—On Friday, January 8, a man was found dead by his roommate in their residence at 3908 Berry Drive located south of Ventura Boulevard. Authorities are reporting that the roommate found the man at around 5:30 p.m. but then panicked for an undisclosed reason; therefore, he wrapped the 64-year-old man’s body in a blanket and then dumped it in a trash can near their home.
Allegedly the roommate, whose name is currently withheld, later went to a nightclub in Hollywood. According to authorities, the man told some friends what had happened and he was urged to inform the authorities. He was later arrested on an unrelated warrant.
As of Sunday, January 10, the autopsy has been pending; however, police are investigating the incident as a possible accident, according to coroner’s investigator Jerry McKibben.
No further information regarding the cause of death or identity of the 64-year-old man was given.
