1685 Main Street, on Tuesday, February 25 at 6:00 p.m. After the event, City Council and the Mayor will declare March as Women’s History Month.

This year’s events will focus on the contributions to society made by exceptional women and girls in a wide array of occupations and achievements. Events include a Latina/o Youth Conference, a financial seminar, a talk on women in the military, a workshop on dealing with divorce and many more.


The purpose of COSW is to “ensure that

Santa Monica is a place where women and girls can fully realize their potential and have a strong voice in all aspects of the community,” according to the Commission’s website. The Commission consists of nine residents appointed by the City Council and focuses on issues that are relevant to women and supports opportunities for women to advance themselves in society.
