WESTWOOD—The search is on for a sexual assault suspect who has been groping women on the UCLA campus.

The suspect is described as an Asian male between 18 and 22 years old with a medium build and short black hair. He was spotted wearing a polo shirt with horizontal stripes, dark gray pants, tennis shoes, a black backpack, and glasses.

Per University Police, the suspect groped three different women on Thursday, May 28  between the hours of 9 and 10 a.m. All of the assaults took place on school grounds.

The suspect’s modus operandi is approaching his female victims and grabbing their thighs as he walks by them. Some of the victims indicated that a similar looking suspect was active in the area doing the exact same thing several weeks prior.

At this juncture, it is not believed that these incidents were related to another sexual assault earlier Thursday morning, an attack in which a male suspect approached a female victim who was jogging on Veteran Avenue and attempted to sexually assault her at knife point.

The victim was able to escape her attacker, who is described as approximately 6 feet tall with a medium to large build.

Both sexual predators remain at large. Anyone with knowledge of either of these incidents or the suspects’ identities is asked to contact the UCLA Police Department at (310) 825-1491.
