HOLLYWOOD—You can never expect two villains to work in tandem because they will always have different alternatives as viewers are seeing on “The Young and the Restless.” I am referring to Jordan and Ian’s partnership to get revenge on the Newman family. Ian was confronted by Nick yet again, this time about the disappearance of Sharon, who Jordan did not kill as expected.
Instead, Jordan stashed Sharon in a sewer chained to a pipe. Sharon Case is absolutely delivering a performance for the character who has been put through the ringer in recent months. She feels the end is near and is seeing hallucinations of Cameron again. However, there could be hope. Ian read the riot act to Jordan after realizing he didn’t get rid of Sharon as he told her to do, and Jordan retaliated by deciding to sever the relationship and doing her own thing.
Bad idea Jordan, real bad idea. Why? Jordan decided she could continue to move around Genoa City unseen, but nope. She was spotted by Claire, yes, her niece of all people at the coffee shop ordering a unique tea. Claire’s alarms automatically went up and then the chase ensued. Claire’s worst nightmare came to fruition as she witnessed her wicked Aunt Jordan in the flesh.
Nikki came face-to-face with Ian after Victor summoned him to their home and it was her worst nightmare. Yes, Ian’s return has plenty of people starting to connect the dots on things that have unfolded in the past few months. Think people think you’re so much closer to the truth about Heather. Yes, it was revealed that Jordan killed Heather and Ian is ready to turn her in, if she betrays him, but I don’t think Jordan cares. She wants her pound of flesh against Claire for betraying her and cozying up to Kyle and the Newman’s. Victor is the ONLY one who suspects Ian’s role in Heather’s demise and Sharon’s drugging. Too bad not many people believe Victor at the current moment.
Nate is learning more and more about his half-brother, Damian except the truth. He utilized Winters to draw his brother in, but didn’t spill that his mother is dying and that he’s his brother. Not to mention, it was discovered that Damian is a silent partner in the companies that he works for. So Damian is definitely keeping big secrets, the question the audience wants to know is why, and when he ultimately comes to Genoa City, what kind of chaos will he cause.
Chelsea, Connor and Adam will they become a family again or not, is not a storyline I care about. I think the writers want to reunite Chelsea and Adam, but the way they are doing it; it just is not hitting as a viewer. Chelsea seems more torn up about fracturing her relationship with Billy. In addition, the writer’s tale of Connor’s OCD is lacking that punch. Something feels off about it.
I was so happy to see Chance call out Summer. Yes, Summer you are jealous of Claire and the fact that she is with Kyle and you’re not is eating you alive. I mean Chance and Summer had chemistry, but out of nowhere, Summer sees Kyle move on and it’s an immediate, “No. I can move on, but my ex cannot.” Harrison loves Claire and Kyle is beyond smitten with her at this point, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Summer does something nefarious to get her hooks back in her ex, and that will be intriguing to say the least.
Now that Ian and Jordan have been exposed, look for Claire’s disappearance to cause some serious concerns for Nikki and Victor, as they search for their granddaughter, and the question of the hour is who will come to Sharon’s rescue? Time will tell.
