LOS ANGELES—Shyp, “the easiest way to ship anything” has officially launched a beta service in Los Angeles for their mobile app. As the fourth city since it’s birth in Miami, downtown Los Angeles including Santa Monica, Venice, West Hollywood, and Beverly Hills have been included in the 70 square mile beta service with plans to increase the area once more data is pulled from these area codes.
Shyp offers a personal courier service that picks up items from any location and ships them anywhere in the world. The service offers customers the luxury of not waiting in lines, finding and hoarding shipping boxes or having to wrap items for safe travel. Based on customer needs, Shyp does all the research to find the most cost effective shipping method for your item, packages it appropriately and sends it off to the destination, saving the client time and money.
Starting out in the beta service will allow Shyp to better create a system to meet the expected demand. Prior to the official Los Angeles launch, they’ve collected a large quantity of zip codes and emails from people interested in the service once it was ready to launch. Using these zip codes and emails allowed Shyp to decide where the best places were to launch their beta service. As the service grows in the city, they will focus on having designated couriers in specific areas to expedite service.
Being in beta currently limits the number of people who can utilize the service. Within the next several weeks, expect Shyp to allow more users to take advantage of it’s service.
