LOS FELIZ—Sia Furler, widely known simply as “Sia”, is currently selling her home for $4,995,000. The 39-year old Austrialian artist, who has lived in the home for 4 months is now putting the Los Feliz estate back on the market and could receive an additional $300,000 for the home she originally purchased at $4.7 million.

The 5,161 square foot Mediterranean inspired home, built in the 1920s and constructed by A.F. Leicht, an architect renown for his unusual designs, is adorned with swooping ceilings, detailed stained glass murals and detailed-oriented wood work as well as a spa, fountain and pool. The abode also houses 5 bedrooms, a step-down living room, a billiards room, a bar, 6 fireplaces, a study room, a powder room and 4 bathrooms.

Noted for last year’s hit “Chandelier” and the song “Diamonds,” which she co-wrote with fellow singer-songwriter, Rihanna, Sia describes herself as a “big dog lover” and just might be the “busiest retired person” in the game, according to her agency. Donning a trademark blonde bob wig, the private artist is noted to avoid the camera and resents being famous as she explains in an NPR interview.

“If anyone besides famous people knew what it was like to be a famous person, they would never want to be famous,” she says. “Imagine the stereotypical highly opinionated, completely uninformed mother-in-law character and apply it to every teenager with a computer in the entire world. Then add in all bored people, as well as people whose job it is to report on celebrities. Then, picture that creature, that force, criticizing you for an hour straight once a day, every day, day after day.”

The acclaimed singer-songwriter, with seven albums under her bel,t has left for the new residents-to-be, a luxurious home with more than a quarter of an acre of land, overlooking over the city, decorated with vintage elements and accents that frame the home.

The date the house will go on sale has not yet been confirmed.
