STUDIO CITY—On August 3, firefighters extinguished a brush fire that incinerated approximately a half-acre of vegetation in the area.

The incident occurred on the 2800 block of North Laurel Canyon Boulevard at around 11:20 a.m.  No residences were damaged and no injuries occurred.

Firefighters were successful in preventing the blaze from reaching other buildings, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. Investigators are attempting to determine the cause of the flames.
