HOLLYWOOD—For a third consecutive weekend, “Suicide Squad” reigned supreme at the box-office adding another $20.7 million to maintain the top spot with moviegoers. After nearly 3 weeks in theaters, the DC comic book adaptation has earned over $260 million domestically. While numbers have consistently dropped, it appears critics and audiences have two different viewpoints on the film.

Maintaining the second place spot was “Sausage Party” which added another $15.3 million to bring its domestic total to over $65 million in less than 2 weeks. Impressive people, impressive to say the least! Landing in third place was the dramedy “War Dogs” starring Jonah Hill and Miles Teller with $14.3 million.

The animated flick “Kubo and the Two Strings” debuted in fourth place with $12.6 million and rounding out the top five was the reinterpretation of a classic, “Ben-Hur” with a very disappointing $11.4 million. The movie which costs over $100 million to make bombed massively with audiences and will be lucky if it even earns $30 million at the domestic box-office.

This weekend sees the release of the horror thriller “Don’t Breathe” which is a must see on my list. Looks like the most ingenious flick to shake up the typical formula we see time and time again in the horror genre.
