Suspected Street Racer Crashes Into FedEx Store

STUDIO CITY—On Wednesday, August 29 after 3 a.m., a white Lexus crashed through the front window of a FedEx store located in Studio City. The crash occurred at the intersection of Laurel Canyon and Ventura Boulevards. Debris covered the inside of the store and the sidewalk outside.

A Los Angeles Police Officer at the scene told KTLA that the driver was suspected to be involved in street racing. Authorities confirmed that the driver of the Lexus fled the scene upon breaking through the glass panels of the FedEx store.

Video footage also shows a group of people, assumed to be the driver and his passengers, leaving the area. One person inside the FedEx store was transported to the hospital following the incident.

According to the LAPD, detectives found information inside the abandoned Lexus and are currently using it in an attempt to identify the driver. Canyon News reached out to the FedEx store on Ventura Boulevard for possible comment, but calls were not returned before print.
