LOS ANGELES—On June 17, the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office filed 42 felony counts, including forgery, burglary and grand theft from an elder or dependent adult against Eldad Syton and Yair Zilberman.

 

The LAPD Van Nuys division received several complaints from elderly victims indicated that Syton posed as a contractor. According to the LAPD blog, Syton presented himself as the operator and owner of 911 Air Care, American Pest Control, American Roof Cleaning, USA Pest Control and Pacific Air Care.

 

He is an unlicensed contractor who targeted elderly victims, charging thousands of dollars in unnecessary and extermination fee. An investigation revealed a second suspect Yair Zilberman, who assisted Syton in committing the crimes.

 

On June 28, Syton was taken into custody from his home on the 12000 block of Emelita Street in Valley
Village. Syton is 32, stands 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs around 140 pounds. On July 1, Van Nuys detectives took Zilberman into custody at a parking lot at Tyrone and Victory Boulevard in Van Nuys. Ziberman is 30, stands 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs about 150 pounds.

 

Syton’s bail was set at $1.37 million, while Zilberman’s bail was set at $1.25 million.
