Another great film was “Gone With the Wind,” not only did it bag 10 Academy Awards in almost all major categories it had a great box-office success and critical acclamation. One of the most prominent films of all time, considered an all-time great in the cinema world. The 1939 historical epic film by Victor Fleming was one of the best.
“Citizen Kane,” the 1941 classic by Orson Welles is considered by the American Film Institute as the greatest American film of all time. While it lacked box-office success it generated huge critical acclamation all over the world as a rare masterpiece for generations. Regarded as one of the landmark films for ardent lovers of movies.
The 1994 drama “The Shawshank Redemption,” by director Frank Darabont starring Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman was a magnificent film. It was a huge box-office success and it was critically acclaimed as an all time classic all over the world.
The 1968 film “Rosemary’s Baby,” is one of the greatest in horror. After Alfred Hitchcock, Roman Polanski is one of the best directors to grace us. Polanski knows how to create the most magical thrill and chill that will quiver down your spine as he demonstrates his directorial ability.
Polanski is one of the most prodigious and versatile directors of our time and has thrilled us with his masterpieces of horror and dramas. In the “Pianist,” the 2002 epic biographical war film it undoubtedly was one of the rare cinematic gems.
In the film “Chinatown,”one of Polanski’s best, you see the uniqueness of this part psychological and part mystery featuring the legendary actor Jack Nicholson. The director somehow created the mystery, thrill and the socio-political backdrop, which became a modern avatar of the social, crime thriller.
