HOLLYWOOD—Why is it that we are attracted to films about lawyers? We’ve seen everything from “My Cousin Vinny” to “A Few Good Men” to romantic comedies like “Adam’s Ribs.” Nevertheless, we tend to only see stories about lawyers who litigate cases. In fiction, we rarely encounter a tax lawyer or solicitor who drafts wills and trusts. Almost everyone is a litigator or works on disputes. The dramatic arc is always about a dispute.
In real life, many lawyers don’t even argue cases in court. And even those attorneys who do work on disputes spend most of their days in the office, reading and writing. Courtroom dramas play fast and loose with actual courtroom procedure. In a lot of shows, the prosecutor asks questions that are badgering and harassing and the opposing lawyer never says anything. This really never happens in real life.
In real life, the opposing counsel would object and accuse the prosecutor of harassing the witness and the judge would instruct the jury to disregard some of the harassing questions and answers. That being said, I believe the best lawyers are fairly quiet, thoughtful, talk less, and listen more. You really don’t want to debate with a lawyer. In reality, people hear you’re a lawyer and suddenly you’re well off and financially secure. I would say, that Hollywood lawyers that deal with celebrity divorces or a lawsuit regarding a celebrity will bring in the big bucks.
Just this week, a lawsuit was filed by Blac Chyna. She is suing the Kardashians alleging they are to blame for the axing of her reality TV show. She is claiming the “vindictive” family wants to destroy her. According to published reports, her attorney confirmed that Kris Jenner is named as a defendant in the lawsuit, along with Kourtney, Kim and Khloe Kardashian, Kendall and Kylie Jenner. The lawsuit follows the break-up of Blac Chyna’s relationship with Rob Kardashian, during which time they had a daughter. The 29-year-old is alleging she suffered assault, battery, domestic violence and harassment at the hands of her ex-fiancé.
The court documents filed against the Kardashians and published in full, allege Rob Kardashian is an “abuser intent on destroying Angela White (Blac Chyna’s real name). The papers also accuse the Kardashians of using their fame, wealth and power to exact revenge on her with name-calling and sabotaging the recommissioning of her own reality TV show “Rob & Chyna” for a second series.
Lisa Bloom, is Blac Chyna’s attorney, and indicates that the idea Rob Kardashian -who is over a foot taller than his former fiancee- “would be in fear of her, is silly.” Rob also accuses Blac Chyna of using him as well as his family for financial gain and said it was a mutual decision by the E! Network and the Kardashian family to cancel the show.
It was quite obvious that those two, Blac Chyna and Rob Kardashian could not be in the same room together. Chyna says they already started shooting the second season of “Rob & Chyna” and claims the Kardashians wanted to “kill” the series. She cites one episode of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” in which the family discuss whether the show should be axed, saying the series had “bad, unhealthy energy.” Her attorney said, Chyna would be seeking damages for not only the loss of her reality TV series, but the accompanying endorsements that would have gone with it. She says her client has lost out on “many millions” of dollars.
In a bizarre twist, it seems that Kourtney Kardashian, whose baby daddy is Scott Disick is now dating Sofia Ritchie. Yes, the 19-year-old daughter of Lionel Ritchie. For months, rumors swirled the web, that the 34-year-old were dating. Now, come the pics of them in Venice, Italy. If the 15-year-old age gap between the couple isn’t enough cause for general confusion, take a second to imagine the intricate connections that can be drawn between the two of them outside of the fact that they are now romantically linked.

After the relationship fizzled, Bieber dated Sophia Ritchie for about a month in August 2016. You may recall, Bieber dated Selena Gomez, who is now dating The Weeknd, who was formerly dating supermodel Bella Hadid; a close friend of Kourtney’s younger sisters, Kylie and Kendall.
