LONDON, ENGLAND—Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have chosen to step down as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Buckingham Palace’s Royalness have come to an agreement that satisfies Queen Elizabeth and the jurors of the Palace to temporary leave their position to live in North America.

The Queen issued in a statement on Saturday, January 18, addressing Harry, Meghan, and Archie.

“My family and I are entirely supportive of Harry and Meghan’s desire to create a new life as a young family,” said Queen Elizabeth in a statemen. “Althotugh we would have preferred them to remain full-time working Members of the Royal Family, we respect and understand their wish to live a more independent life as a family while remaining a valued part of my family.”

Prince Harry and Markle will have their independence and financial freedom, and no longer receive state funding. It was determined that the ex Royals will pay back tax dollars in the amount of $3.1 million equal to 2.4 million pounds for renovations done to their home at Frogmore Cottage.

While Harry and Meghan are in Britain they will continue to stay at Frogmore Cottage which was given to them by Queen Elizabeth. Meghan, Harry, and Archie are expected to reside in Canada, when not in Britain.
