“B&B” star Ronn Moss jives his way to safety on “Dancing With The Stars Italy.” In the fifth episode of “Dancing with the Stars, Italy,” Ronn Moss was unexpectedly pitted against another competitor for 20 bonus points, and asked to perform three different dances, two with his partner and one solo: first, a Quickstep, then a Paso Doble, and finally, a Salsa. Even though he was good, Ronn was not as successful as his competitor, Veronica Olivier, who received the 20 points. After that, Ronn performed a soulful Jive, and the audience went wild. The enthusiastic jury rewarded him with very good scores: four 8’s and one 9, for a total of 41 points. The jury was unanimous that this was his best performance yet, with one commenting that “he was dancing with his soul.” With these scores, he tied for fifth place. After the audience votes were tabulated, he passed directly over to the next episode.

Stage and screen favorite Stefanie Powers, TV’s iconic Jennifer Hart, stars in Agatha Christie’s mystery thriller, The Unexpected Guest with a trio of stars from ABC’s “All My Children” Vincent Irizarry, this year’s Daytime Emmy-Winner for Outstanding Supporting Actor (AMC’s Dr. David Hayward), Daytime Emmy-Winner Jacob Young (AMC’s JR Chandler) and Adam Mayfield (AMC’s Scott Chandler). After 40 years of taping in New York City, “All My Children” has recently moved production to Los Angeles. This is the first time the stars of the soap will appear together on stage in Southern California. The role of the police inspector will be read by Robert Newman, who starred as Joshua Lewis for 28 years on “The Guiding Light” and recently finished a long run in the off-Broadway musical “Sessions.” Broadway and film star Constance Towers (General Hospital’s infamous villain Helena Cassadine) brings her talent to the stage to round out the all-star cast. Agatha Christie’s tale is an exciting ‘whodunit’ involving murder and intrigue in a remote country house.

As we reported last week, on Monday, Dr. Conrad Murray, the physician who was caring for Michael Jackson at the time he died in his rented Holmby Hills mansion was arraigned on manslaughter charges. Jackson’s family was in the courtroom and were outraged by the charges, feeling he needed to be charged with at the very least second-degree murder. Dr. Murray is still seeing patients at his Las Vegas clinic.

“As The World Turns” Director and producer the talented Christopher Goutman recently received the Outstanding Directorial Achievement in a Daytime Serial for his incredible work on the soap. “ATWT” will cease airing on CBS after September and fans are praying that Mr. Goutman finds another home for the series. If he needs an angel to take some of his veterans on to heaven on its final episode, I have a suggestion Chris!

Word is actor, activist and phenomenal artist/painter Thom Bierdz is now working with our neighbor David Street to represent his artwork. I can vouch for Thom’s incredible talent as an artist and Mr. Streets as one of the most respected gallery owners and agents in the world. Thom Bierdz’s art can be viewed at ThomBierdz.com.

Hollywood insiders as well as millions of fans of “American Idol” across the nation are taking sides in whether shock jock Howard Stern should replace Simon Cowell as a judge on the popular Fox Broadcasting network. Both sides are being very vocal. Since I’m no fan of reality TV, I won’t take sides in this battle. Surely the controversy only helps Howard Stern, as Fox loves brawling on the show amongst hosts and even against the talent. He should fit in perfectly if chosen. Ellen Degeneres made her debut this week on the series and did a wonderful job with Simon and Randy Jackson. She seems to be a great fit on the show so far. Good luck to Ellen.

Just when we all thought it was safe to turn on and watch television again. Jon Gosselin has decided he doesn’t have the money to fight TLC any longer and may agree to let his 8 children be filmed again for the series “Jon and Kate Plus 8.” What is not clear however, is if TLC has any interest in Jon being on the show in the future. We all thought Kate Gosselin’s hair extension story would be the last of her too? Prepare for this: Kate is now penning a second book, this one on her private life and divorce from Jon. It’s amazing Jon and Kate haven’t figured out we’re all ready to move on and we witnessed their public divorce spats, we don’t need to be reminded of it in a tome. The first time we witnessed it was ugly enough.

On the subject of too much information. Pop sensation John Mayer set a firestorm when his recent Playboy magazine interview ran and the singer has discussed his sex life with former girlfriend Jessica Simpson and even goes as far as using the “N” word in his descriptions of African Americans. As old as Hollywood is, it’s never a bad thing to get headlines and controversy, but it is always bad when using racial epithets. So John Mayer finds himself in the same bad spot as Mel Gibson. Fans are unimpressed by such ignorance.

Kobe Bryant gave Vanessa a ring, Tiger Woods give wife Elin another yacht. Maybe he was just in the market for a second one, but if not, it’s a great peace offering to a wife who has had to weather 16 women coming out of the woodwork to claim affairs with her golfer Husband. Perhaps Tiger learned at sex rehab how to behave in the future? Whatever happens, with two young children, lets hope the family survives this situation.

Instead of reading Playboy for John Mayer’s disgusting interview, I suggest subscribing to Canyon News and then pick up the recent issue of Esquire. Perhaps one of the best actors in the past decade, Leo DiCaprio gives a candid interview about his eclectic childhood. to say the least, and he shows utter respect for his profession as an actor. It’s no doubt why Scorcese and Cameron among other great directors find the guy so captivating and women find him so attractive in every way. Leo is truly the epitome of what Hollywood stardom is all about.

“True Blood” fans can pre-order the second season of the series now. It will be released May 25. Both in DVD and on Blu-ray. Trubies are definitely looking forward to reliving the wildest ride on television again. Season three starts airing on HBO in June.

Have a great week!
