LIVE OAK—On June 20, the Butte County District Attorney Mike Ramsey issued a press release announcing the arrest of three individuals in an alleged arson and insurance fraud scheme. The following people were arrested. One individual is still at large.

On Thursday, June 19, Simren Pamma, born July 26, 1996, was booked into BUTTE COUNTY JAIL for 451(B) Arson of an inhabited structure and 182(A)(1) Conspiracy to commit a crime.
Aaron Singh Pamma, born December 21, 1994, was arrested and booked into BUTTE COUNTY JAIL on charges of 550 (B)(1) FLS/ETC INS INF F/PAY/ETC, 118(A) Perjury, 532(A) FALSE PRETENSES: OBT $/ETC, 451(B) Arson of an inhabited structure, and 182(A)(1) Conspiracy to commit a crime.
Gurtej Singh, born September 1, 1996, was arrested and booked into BUTTE COUNTY JAIL on Charges of 502(C)(1)(A) 000353 ACC COMP/ALT DATA:DEFRAUD, 548(A) INJUR/DSTROY/ETC INS PROP, 550 (B)(1) FLS/ETC INS INF F/PAY/ETC, 118(A) Perjury, 532(A) FALSE PRETENSES: OBT $/ETC, 451(B) Arson of an inhabited structure, and 182(A)(1) Conspiracy to commit a crime.
All three of the above suspects were reportedly arrested on $1,000,000 warrants issued by the Butte County Supreme Court.
The fourth suspect is Javier Molina-Bravo, 37, owner of Big Dog Handyman services of Corning, who was charged in Butte County Superior Court on multiple counts of check fraud. Reports indicate that Molina-Bravo failed to appear for a scheduled hearing and is now considered a Wanted Fugitive from Justice in addition to his other charges.
According to Ramsey, the arrests and warrants are the results of a joint investigation involving CalFire Law Enforcement Division, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and D.A. Ramsey’s office.
The scheme involved the purchasing of homes through the Department of Agriculture; one was a farmhouse purchased in April 2023. It was located on Old Ferry Road in Butte County. It was severely burned to the ground in an arson fire on February 17, 2024.
