WEST HOLLYWOOD—Three pedestrians were injured after being struck by a vehicle on Sunday, June 11 in West Hollywood.

The crash occurred shortly after 10 p.m. near La Peer Drive and Santa Monica Boulevard, near the city’s weekend-long celebration of Pride by the LGBTQ community, according to Sgt. Lance Eddins of the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department.

The driver, who was driving a white Mercedes-Benz, was exiting a driveway in the 600 block of La Peer Drive when he struck the pedestrians, according to officials. The victims were transported to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where they were treated for minor injuries.

A passenger in the vehicle told CBS Los Angeles, “We were exiting the parking lot and [the driver] basically hit a pedestrian. He just lost control. It just happened very fast. Everybody was just listening to music. Everything was happening very fast,” she said. “Everybody was doing a little drinking.”

The driver was detained and is being investigated for possible DUI by authorities.
