BEVERLY HILLS —Two of my favorite people in Hollywood attended the Young Musicians Foundation’s awards dinner on Saturday, May 21. Tracey Bregman who portrays Lauren Fenmore on CBS’s “The Young and the Restless” was accompanied by the legendary Lee Phillip Bell, who co-created “Y&R” and its sister soap “The Bold and the Beautiful.” Tracey was very excited about the evening, as she received the 2010’s Emerald Star award.

Also honored at the 2010 Luncheon is longtime YMF supporter and celebrity board member, Ann Rutherford. One of the legendary cast members of the famed 1939 film “Gone With the Wind,” Ms. Rutherford has appeared in over 80 films and is one of only two remaining stars from “GWTW,” including Olivia de Havilland. Ms. Rutherford is a well regarded philanthropist in the Los Angeles area.

Gorgeous Bregman has been very busy on “Y&R” this year. She’s just wrapped a dual role, which she should be nominated for an Emmy for next year. Fans loved seeing Tracey on the screen as both Lauren and Sarah, but celebrated the saving of Lauren when a deadly gun fight at the old Genoa City zoo commenced. Bregman is always a very solid actress who has been fascinating and a fan favorite of “Y&R” fans for over two decades now.

Beverly Hills actress Constance Towers tells Canyon News, “I have known Tracey for so many years and she just grows more beautiful with each year. She is not only beautiful to look at but she is truly one of the nicest, most genuinely socially concerned human beings I know. Of course the Young Musicians must appeal to her in a very personal way because of her father, Buddy Bregman. Buddy was a brilliant young musician-arranger when I was beginning my career. He is very successful. Tracey has grown up with a talented musician father who adores her so her interest in helping young musicians comes very naturally. You have to love Tracey if you are lucky enough to know her.”

Founded in 1955, Young Musicians Foundation (YMF) is devoted to preserving the classical music heritage by providing performance opportunities; financial assistance and community outreach programming that contributes to the personal, academic and artistic development of youth from all socio-economic and ethnic backgrounds. Through its two branches ”“ Artist Development & Assistance and Education & Community Outreach, Young Musicians Foundation is able to provide support and recognition to young artists of all ages and abilities in Los Angeles, Southern California, America and around the world.
