BEVERLY HILLS—A police motorcycle officer was injured during a collision at the intersection of Burton Way and La Peer Drive around 11 a.m. on November 20.

The officer was involved in a collision with another vehicle while regulating traffic at the intersection of Burton Way and La Peer Drive.

The Beverly Hills Police Department (BHPD) stated that the officer suffered moderate injuries from the accident and was transported to a local hospital. The driver of the other vehicle did not sustain any injuries.

The collision caused the area of eastbound Burton Way from Doheny to La Peer and northbound and southbound on La Peer Drive to be closed for three hours and for the Beverly Hills Police Department to warn commuters via Twitter to “avoid the area if at all possible.”

BHPD Sergeant Subin told the Canyon News that cause of the collision is under investigation, but that “the officer is doing great” and that “he sustained minor injuries.”
