BEVERLY HILLS—Two men were arrested for carjacking a Rolls-Royce in Beverly Hills, over the Thanksgiving weekend, officials from the Beverly Hills Police Department noted.

A blue 2014 Rolls-Royce Wraith was carjacked in the 600 block of North Maple Drive. The carjacking was reported at 8:40 p.m. on Sunday, November 27, according to Beverly Hills Police Lieutenant Lincoln Hoshino.

The vehicle was spotted by police officers shortly after it was stolen at the intersection of N. Santa Monica Boulevard and Doheny Drive when a pursuit was initiated. Two armed, male suspects crashed the stolen vehicle into a parked vehicle and fled from the incident at the intersection of Wilshire Boulevard and Oakhurst Drive. The force of the collision caused the parked vehicle to turn on its side.

The Beverly Hills Police Department established a containment perimeter as the suspects fled the scene on foot. They were quickly able to capture one suspect who was hiding in a planter. A second suspect was located in the area of Pico Boulevard and Beverly Drive.

A ping from the carjacking victim’s cell phone assisted police officers in finding the second suspect in the Pico-Boulevard and Beverly Drive area. There were no reports of any injuries to the carjacking victim.

The Beverly Hills Police Department arrested Juan Antonio Galvan, 19,  of Los Angeles and a 16-year-old juvenile in connection with the carjacking notes a press release from the BHPD.
