HOLLYWOOD—Los Angeles Police Department West Bureau Homicide detectives arrested Troy T. McVey, 22, and Colby R. Kronholm, 21, on January 5 for the murder of an unidentified victim who is described as a black male between the ages of 55-60.

According to the LAPD blog, on Sunday, January 4 at around 11:55 p.m., an off duty Los Angeles Police officer was in the 1600 block of North Cahuenga Boulevard when he witnessed a shooting.  The officer and residents of the area called authorities. 

The off duty officer and citizens observed a suspect smashing windows on a car and then confronted the victim demanding the victim’s money.  The suspect shot the victim numerous times.

The victim was transported by the Los Angeles Fire Department Paramedics to a local hospital, but died due to his injuries.
