LONG BEACH—On Tuesday, March 15, the Hip Hop Community lost another legendary crooner and rap artist.

Nathaniel Dwayne Hale, better known to his fans and fellow artists as Nate Dogg, passed away at the age of 41 in Long Beach, California.

Although an autopsy has yet to determine the cause, it is speculated that the artist succumbed to his death due to the result of complications from two previously suffered strokes.

As a result of the first stroke in December 2007, Nate suffered paralysis on the left side of his body but had no affect on his melodic voice.  Through physical therapy, his doctors said he would make a full recovery.

In September 2008, he suffered a second stroke making a full recovery and returning to his music career a challenging accomplishment.

Nate Dogg was discovered, while at a party, after producer Dr. Dre heard a demo that he had recorded with Snoop Dogg and Warren G., known as a rap trio named 213.

It was said that Dr. Dre was impressed with his “soulful voice” and had him do a guest appearance on his December 1992 album “The Chronic”.

Nate Dogg was well received by fans and signed with Death Row Records in 1993.  He had four Grammy nominations and his collaboration with Warren G. on the hit single “Regulate” is arguably the most notable hit single in his career.

Snoop Dogg took to twitter to express his sadness tweeting “We lost a true legend n hip hop n rnb.  One of my best friends n a brother to me since 1986 when I was a sophomore at poly high where we met”¦all doggs go to heaven yo homie n baby brother bigg snoopdogg!!”.

Ludacris, Xzibit, 50 Cent and Daz Dillinger also took to twitter to express their thoughts about the crooner.
