HOLLYWOOD—Has it truly happened? Has the great Victor Newman finally fallen on the CBS soap “The Young and the Restless?” Well, the writers certainly want the audience to think that, but we know all too well that is not true, even though the entire Newman family suspects that Victor Newman is indeed dead. Wow, the writers cannot be this stupid to expect the audience to buy this ruse. We know Victor is capable of devious misdeeds, and I will not be stunned when the truth is revealed that Victor is very much alive.

He’s hiding out, waiting for the moment to strike back against Adam for peddling with his medicine. Yes, Adam was so determined to teach his father a lesson, not realizing in the process that he might kill his father. To say Adam was feeling a bit of guilt is an understatement. Adam knows he is responsible for what has ‘transpired’ with his father, and his theory that Victor tried to kill him is wrong. Victor didn’t try to kill you with that car, Billy did. Phyllis tried to be a voice of reason for Adam, but she realized she might be in deep trouble.

Yes, Phyllis you should be scared because you played a role in hacking that computer to get into Victor’s files. So if Adam goes down, you’re going to take a tumble with him. You’re guilty by association Phyllis, and even though I love the old Phyllis’ return to her original form, it’s time for her to face the music. How so? She already busted Zoe for spiking the Sangria at the launch of the Grand Phoenix Hotel, and weaseled her way into getting shares of the hotel from Chelsea and Abby to their dismay.

I am even more interested in this new storyline involving Billy Abbott. Remember when I indicated something was off about Billy, specifically his constant chewing of gum. Well, there is a reason for that. Billy has a spilt personality. So his odd behavior is a direct result of Billy battling an alter ego who has taken over his body in an attempt to deal with the grief of Delia’s death and Adam’s return from the dead.

Victoria found Billy and learned from Kevin and Chloe in regards to what is going on with her lover. Billy is in absolute denial, but he has been seeing fragments of his past flash in front of his face. The question that remains is exactly how this storyline will play out in the long run. Will Billy actually make a move against Adam or is some big twist in play that the audience will never see coming? That is to be determined, but the writers have intrigued me and I love when we get a narrative where we don’t know exactly what is going to happen. We’re also seeing some terrific acting from Jason Thompson people.

Also worth noting is a potential relationship between Adam and Phyllis looming in the near future. It certainly feels like that, not to mention a possible pairing between Sharon and Jack of all people. It seems Sharon and Rey are absolutely done, even though they shouldn’t be, and she might be rekindling things with Jack Abbott. Yeah, that is a relationship I really don’t want to see America. I don’t see the value in it.

However, with word spreading about Victor’s demise, Genoa City is about to be rocked to the core, but I expect bigger rattles when we discover that Victor is very much alive and planning the ultimate vengeance on his son Adam. I really don’t think Adam will see this coming, and it will be worth every moment to salivate in the mayhem.
