LOS FELIZ—The home exclusively built for composer and director Victor Schertzinger in 1921 has recently been listed for $6.25 million; double the amount it was last listed for. The Los Feliz property was last sold for $3.327 million in 2005.
The four bedroom, five bathroom estate located between Cromwell Avenue and Los Feliz Boulevard was created by architect Mark Roy Daniels.
Along with its many attributes, the estate features a swimming pool in the backyard, an outdoor fireplace, a garage large enough to park five cars and a tennis court.
Schertzinger has composed and directed a countless number of songs and movies. One of his works include the black and white comedy film “Road to Singapore,” which initially aired in 1940. He composed songs like “Tangerine” and “The Love Parade.” The musician and father of two passed away from a heart attack at the age of 53 in 1941.
Schertzinger was married to Julia E. Nicklin.
