HOLLYWOODLos Angeles Police Department Hollywood Division detectives released images of a suspect who caused serious injuries to another man during an assault outside the Roosevelt Hotel on Hollywood Boulevard on Halloween night. They are asking for the public’s help in identifying him.

The circulated video of the incident had been taken on a witness’ cell phone. The video shows the shirtless, tatted-up suspect punching the victim, who is also shirtless and covered in tattoos.

According to police, the suspect punched the victim several times in the face and body and kicked the victim’s head, causing serious injuries.

The suspect then fled eastward toward Highland Avenue.

The victim was taken to a hospital and was treated for a fractured eye socket; he received several stitches. He was released from the hospital immediately following treatment.

The LAPD noted that the suspect is a Hispanic male between 30 to 35-years-old, between 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 9 inches tall, and weighs around 170 to 190 pounds. He was wearing battle dress uniform style black pants, military style black boots, a dark colored watch on his left wrist and had numerous tattoos covering his back and arms, at the time of the incident.

Regarding the state of security around the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel location, Jeff Hanlon, the hotel’s Director of Security  informed Canyon News that “Unfortunately I’m not a liberty to speak to the press.”

Hollywood Major Assault Crimes Detective E. Reyes told Canyon News that “This occurred outside the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, so it’s not directly related to the hotel and there have been no other incidents linked or related to that incident. It was an isolated incident that occurred after a Halloween party.”
