MANHATTAN BEACH—According to a press release Canyon News received from the Manhattan Beach Police Department, “Swingers” actor, Vince Vaughn, 48, was arrested at 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 10. The incident occurred after the actor was stopped at a routine DUI checkpoint on Artesia Boulevard and Prospect Avenue, where Vaughn did not initially cooperate with officers.

He was arrested for misdemeanor driving under the influence. According to reports, Vaughn was inside his vehicle with a friend at the time of the incident. The identity of that individual has not been disclosed. The actor was cited, released, and is expected to appear in court. TMZ reported the actor was drinking at a bar at the Aloft Hotel in El Segundo before being arrested.

Both Vaughn and his passenger were cited for delaying arrest. Vaughn has not made any statements to the press or via social media since the arrest. The actor is known for his roles in the films “Wedding Crashers,” “The Break-Up,” “Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story” and he recently appeared in the second season of the HBO series “True Detective.”
