My name is “Bill”, and I’m quite sad and bewildered, because the person that I loved so very much passed away.  Unfortunately, there was no one else that could take care of me.  So, now I’m waiting for someone to come along that will love me the way that I was loved before.
I’m a Rottweiler/Retriever mix, and I’m six years old. I’m going to be honest with you, I don’t get along with other dogs, or with cats. I’m not really sure why.  So, maybe if I was given some training along those lines, I’d learn that they can be a lot of fun to be with!  Other than that, I’m really very well behaved.
If you have children of any age, I’ll get along with them just fine!   It’s been said that I’m very smart, so I’ll be easy to train to fit in with your schedule.  I’m housebroken, so that part of the training is already taken care of.
You’ll find that I will be very loyal to you.  And, maybe I don’t look like one of those cuddly, affectionate little ones that you’ve seen, but I am very loving and affectionate, and one of my favorite things to do is to lay in bed next to you when you sleep!  Another thing that I love to do is surprise you by bringing you one of my toys when you least expect it.  So, you see, I will share some of my favorite things with you.
Oh, by the way, I hope that you’ll share something with me, too!  I love parmesan cheese, and whenever you have some, I sure would like some as a little treat!  So, is that a deal?
Now, I hope that there is someone out there that will call to see me.  Please!!
Note:  Have you ever heard of the Sago Palm?  I have to admit that I didn’t know what they were until several months ago.  They are extremely toxic to both pets and humans.  Of course humans wouldn’t be nibbling on  them, but pets could, and children may pick up some of the colorful seeds and think that they are good to eat.  Miniature versions of the Sago Palms are sold in many home improvement stores and are bought by people because they are decorative.  If you are not sure what they look like, check the internet, and be sure to remove them if you have children or pets.
According to the ASPCA Animal Control Center, the five most dangerous plants to animals are the Sago Palm, Lily, Azalea, Oleander, and the Castor Bean. So, please keep your pets safe, and keep them out of their reach, or better yet, out of your homes.
Bill would love a new home, and so would our many other dogs and cats that you can see on our website: foafla.petfinder.com.
