My name is Pepe, and I’m a two and a half pound Chihuahua. Yes, you heard me right – I weigh all of two and a half pounds!!  I think that my big eyes and big ears make up for most of my weight!
Would you believe that I was found wandering around the streets all by myself?  That was pretty scary!  Well, a very nice lady found me, but, unfortunately, wasn’t able to keep me, so now I’m being well cared for at the Friends of Animals Foundation until a forever home can be found for me.
I have been examined and found to be a very healthy little boy, and thought to be about nine years young.  I may be little, but I love to go for walks, and if you have to pick me up, well, you’ll hardly know that you’re carrying anything!
I get along with other dogs, and kitty cats, too.  I, also, get along with children, but think that older children would be best, because I’m so little that young ones might think that I’m a toy, and, well, you know what that can lead to!   I’m really very well behaved and very obedient.  I will come when called, and I know the meaning of the word “no”. You don’t have to worry about me being a barker, as the only time that I’ll bark is to let you know that someone is at the door.
I’m learning the housetraining rules, but in the meantime, I do know what wee wee pads are for, so no worries there. I’m not aggressive in any way, and I don’t guard my food or toys. That reminds me, I forgot to tell you that I love to play fetch!
I would love to be with someone that is home most of the time.  A retired senior, maybe, who would like a little shadow to follow them around, and sit on their lap for hours at a time – if they would like – because I’m a real lover, and love to cuddle and be close to you. You will find that I’ll be, oh, so loyal to you, and love you forever and ever! So, won’t you please come to see me?  We can go for a walk and play a game of fetch – and then I can try out your lap!
However, if I’m too little for you, and you would like someone to jog or hike with – or maybe you have something a little less strenuous in mind, like say, a very independent little someone that uses a litter box, you can see all of my doggie and kitty friends that are here with me if you check the website: foafla.petfinder.com.
