BEVERLY HILLS—My name is “Simon”, and I’m a little boy about three years old. I’m a Shih Tzu – and I think you know what that means. Yes, I need regular brushing and grooming to keep my hair from becoming matted, but that can be a real fun time for both of us! Really, it can!
If I’m kept in a puppy clip, instead of having longer hair, I’m so very easy to care for, and I’m more comfortable, too. Just don’t ever have me shaved down, as I need the hair to protect my skin and to keep me warm.
Now, on to other things. First of all, I’m here at the Friends of Animals Foundation because my family lost their home and couldn’t take care of me anymore. They know that while I’m here I will be safe and well cared for, until a loving home can be found for me.
I get along with other dogs, so, if you have another dog that would like a playmate, that would be just fine with me. But, if I’m the only one, that would be fine, too, because I love affection, attention, and cuddling, and I wouldn’t have to share you!
I love to take walks, I’m housebroken, and I’m not a guarder of my toys or food – I’m just an all around good and loving little boy. And cute, too! So I’ve been told. A home with older children would be best, because some young ones can be a little too rambunctious for me, and I may get a little out of sorts.
I want so very much to belong to someone again, so I hope that some of the calls that come in will be from people that want to see me. However, if you’re not one for brushing and grooming, I have plenty of friends here that have short hair. We also have lots of kitty cats, and, as you know, they groom themselves!
