MALIBU—The city of Malibu Parks and Recreation Department are seeking volunteers and community members to help with keeping city parks looking clean and vibrant for the community.
Two of the largest parks in the region, Legacy Park and Malibu Bluffs Park require hours of weeding, planting, watering and mulching to ensure the plants in the park remain as healthy as possible.
According to the city of Malibu website, volunteers would help with things like basic gardening tasks, with the assistance of the city’s naturalists, who teach while working.
Volunteers should include those who enjoy being outdoors and helping maintain the Earth’s resources. The program also provides opportunities for school group projects, girl or boy scout troops or students looking to complete service hours.
