BRENTWOOD—Firefighters worked throughout the night on October 23 to contain multiple brush fires in the Rustic Canyon Park area, an area popular amongst many celebrities including Ben Affleck, Tom Hanks and Matt Damon.
There were approximately 75 firefighters battling the blaze, which covered roughly two acres. With the help of repeat aerial water drops, the flames were subdued by 1:30 a.m., Friday morning. Conditions of a cool 61 degrees, 80 percent humidity and limited wind helped firefighters knock out the flames.
Los Angeles Fire Department Spokesman, Brian Humphrey, informed Canyon News that, “the cause of the fire is still under investigation” as of October 29. He also mentioned that there were no injuries or structural damages reported.
