STUDIO CITY—On December 9, a female was rescued by the Los Angeles Fire Department after she drove her vehicle over an embankment into a flood control channel. There was only a little water in the channel.

LAFD spokesman Brian Humphrey stated that a rescue took place at 12605 Ventura Blvd. in Studio City when a vehicle drove over an embankment into a dry flood control channel.

He also stated that the victim, identified only as an older female, was still conscious in the vehicle.She has reported as having non-life-threatening injuries.
