BEVERLY HILLS—The seventh annual “Woofstock 90210” event which was originally scheduled for March 6 has been rescheduled to take place on June 26 at Roxbury Park’s Wiggly Field. The annual pet event will run from 11 a.m.-3 p.m.

The expected turnout is approximately 3,000 people and 250 pets. “Woofstock 90210” will feature all day pet adoptions provided by The Pet Care Foundation. There will also be an agility demonstration. There will be live entertainment provided by the Disc Dogs of Southern California.

Other events to look forward to include the Pet Parade Costume Contest, and the Pet Talent Show. A “The Dog Wedding” movie booth will be set up for participants to take photos with their dogs. There will be over 35 plus pet-related vendors at the event. People will be able to get face and body art for an additional fee. Laura Souza of “G girl Productions” Fur-Baby Fashion Shows & Events will be a guest judge for the parade and talent show.

Those interested in participating in the parade and talent show must sign up. There will be food trucks and local veterinarians will be on hand to provide their services. Information will be given out on pet emergency preparedness. Beverly Hills High School is providing free parking with pet friendly shuttles for the event.

“The event is very important to the residents of the City as it provides a wonderful opportunity for pet owners in BH to be able to socialize their pets with other residents’ pets at a local park. The Dog Park will be promoted to all ‘Woofstock 90210’ attendees which has been a priority of our City Council to create a special park for dogs in the community to go to. We have a lot of apartment owners in the city who are in need of a place to bring their dogs to socialize,” said Cindy Brynan, Senior Recreation Supervisor for the City of Beverly Hills Community Services Department.

Pets must have all up to date vaccinations. Dogs have to be on a non-retractable leash. The event is free for the public to attend. For more information on “Woofstock 90210” call (310) 285-6830 or check out the city’s website at www.beverlyhills.org/woofstock90210.
