GRIFFITH PARK—On Saturday, July 11, 7-Eleven is partnering with the City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks for a free youth swim day. Youth ages 17 and under can swim for free at public pools across the city of Los Angeles

Forty-seven pools across the city will be participating, including Griffith Pool where a check presentation ceremony will take place on Friday, July 10 at 3:30 p.m. City Councilman David Ryu will be in attendance.

7-Eleven promoted the event by setting up tables at pools across the city this week, including Stoner Park Pool in West LA, and giving out healthy snacks to children.

“7-Eleven Day,” also known as “Free Slurpee Day,” is a nationwide event in its thirteenth year. The popular frozen drink will be given away at participating 7-Eleven locations from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
