STUDIO CITY—Actor Adam Arkin is getting rid of his expensive Studio City home. The 59-year-old Arkin is hoping to fetch a price of $1.1 million for his long-time residence.

According to housing records, Arkin bought the property back in 1999 for $560,000. It was officially listed for sale once again on September 3.

Built in 1956, the property sits on 0.71 acres of lot space while the house spans almost 1,800 sq. ft. It is located just adjacent to the Coldwater Canyon Open Space and just a few minutes from Mulholland Drive.

The three-bedroom, two-bathroom house is described as being “resort style” and “mid-century” inspired. The living room features hardwood floors, tall windows, and a fireplace, along with access to an outside patio.

Backyard amenities include a swimming pool and private sundeck. The home’s master bedroom allows for direct access to the pool area. The backyard also boasts a striking view of the canyon, woods, and mountains.

The house is being listed by Sotheby’s International Realty, under agent Jory Burton. The group is offering an open house for those interested in the property on September 27 from 2p.m.-5p.m. A virtual tour of the home is also being offered.

The actor has had a decorated career on television spanning four decades. Arkin appeared on several hit television shows, most notably the 90’s medical drama “Chicago Hope”, for which he garnered an Emmy nomination in his supporting role.

Recently, he has appeared on “Sons of Anarchy” and “Masters of Sex”. He is set to appear in the upcoming season of the critically acclaimed series “Fargo” on the FX Network.

Arkin was married to “All My Children” actress Phyllis Lyons for 15 years until their split two years ago from irreconcilable differences.
