BEVERLY HILLS—The city of Beverly Hills is looking for artists for the spring 2020 artSHOW that will be held from May 16 thru May 17 in Beverly Gardens Park.

“We ask all artists to be thoroughly aware that this show is carefully juried by a panel of fine art professionals,” as stated in a press release from the city. “There are always many more applicants than space allows, so not all artists will be accepted.” The city will be accepting applications until Friday, February 14.

Selected artists will be able to exhibit their art in eleven possible categories including: painting, sculpture, ceramics and glass, drawing, traditional printmaking, furnishings, photography and digital art, jewelry and two-dimensional and three-dimensional mixed media. Artists will be able to sell their work both days of the event.

According to a Jan Lord who is a local artist, “The Beverly Hills Art Shows is the art show to attend and to be a participating artist. I have had the good fortune to display my art for the past three years on the beautiful park like setting of the Beverly Hills Gardens. The venue is classy, detailed organized and hosts many qualified and talented artists.”

The 44-year-old Beverly Hills artSHOW is produced by the city of Beverly Hills each May and October at Beverly Gardens Park located on 9455 North Santa Monica Boulevard. The artSHOW features 250 fine artists and has drawn crowds of 40,000 according to artSHOW’s Facebook page. Each artist is available for questions that guests may have. The event is free to attend and is pet friendly.
