BEVERLY HILLS—The Beverly Hills artSHOW will run from Saturday, May 21 to Sunday, May 22 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Beverly Gardens Park along Santa Monica Boulevard, from Rodeo Drive to Rexford Drive. The free art show allows fans of art to visit Beverly Hills. According to a press release from the city of Beverly Hills, local and national artists will be in attendance at the event.

This year, the art show will be utilizing the theme, Men and Women: Gender in Art. Artists who have paintings that illustrate this particular subject matter will be featured in a special show. Some artists to be featured include Bruce Burr, Minas Halaj, Ron Klotchman, Dariusz Labuzek, Rene Porter and many others. Artists will address various shades of males and females in contemporary life.

Portraiture artists Carol Steinberg will be returning this year alongside newcomers Shelley Cassidy and Julie Arnoff. They will all be demonstrating their skills and drawing techniques with live models at the show. Awards will be given out on May 22. Artists will be able to compete for category awards, the Mayor’s Purchase Award, Best of Show, and Most Original Work.

The event will feature live entertainment and there will be children and family art projects on site as well. Food trucks will also be available to attendees. Event goers can visit the wine and dine garden and the beer and brat garden as well. There will be parking across the street from the art show for a fee.
